The Past Two Weeks

I am a first year student at Moore Norman in the CADD class. I went into my second semester knowing completely that I will not pursue drafting or architecture. I want to get a degree in biology.
Then why am I still in this class?
Mr. Means has told me more than a few times that the future technology is where science and engineering merge. That's where the jobs are, and that's where the money is. That idea really stuck with me, so here I am.
While this class is self-paced, the other two students that I had been at the same place with split off and began studying the architecture program. I was ok with studying architecture even though that's not what I wanted to do. But as they got started, Mr. Means presented the idea of created a class website and all that entails.
The past two weeks I've figured out how to create a website, make YouTube videos, and a way for our class to be more "green" by submitting all of our through email rather than printing. So the website project supplements the design aspect of this class, and I'm pretty excited with how this is continuously evolving. After this is all set up and all that is needed is periodic updates, I'll be studying to get all the certifications I can. I've learned so much.. I'm so glad I stayed.
